Impressive to hear of all the happenings with the Hannibal Rotary! Equally impressive were the many kind & accomplished people in attendance.

Posted: August 16, 2014 Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: Caring for the Frail Elderly Conference, elderly Leave a commentThis booth experience brought back so many wonderful memories when I was a Nursing Technician at Boone Hospital, decades ago. Bonus to reconnect with those recognized from decades ago (pictured: my children’s first pediatrician, Dr. David M.)!

St. Peters Rotary is making a difference
Posted: August 11, 2014 Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: St. Peters Cultural Arts Center, St. Peters Rotary Leave a commentSurrounded by beauty in the Cultural Arts Center inside the City Hall, this group is destined to accomplish great things! Just as one hopes all Rotarians/Missourians are, this club was well-informed & had numerous, thoughtful questions, excited to learn all they could (in 1-hour) about Regenerative Medicine. Thanks to Julie S, Jeff F, & Jeff H!
Springfield Kiwanis Towers Above Town
Posted: August 8, 2014 Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: Springfield Kiwanis, Tower Club Leave a commentThey meet at the “Tower Club”, on the 22nd Floor! Always great when folks stay after the meeting to talk more personally before I leave. This group understands what it means to help others in need, as they help children in need (Kiwanis). All were thrilled to learn of the latest breakthroughs, & many signed up for our monthly newsletters. Thanks (& well wishes) to Gayla J!
Amazing learning environment at the Multiple Myeloma Support Group!
Posted: August 6, 2014 Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: MMRF, Multiple Myeloma Support Group Leave a commentKathy C has led this group for 10 years – & it shows! The information she shared was valuable to all who attended, especially her experiences at a recent conference. It was an honor to follow her lead & to speak with this group. All came already well-informed & extremely supportive of stem cell research, treatments, & Regenerative Medicine. Most attendees gave testimony to their own experiences with stem cell treatments. Remarkable, positive group! Thanks, Kathy C!
Like homecoming at Red Bridge Methodist Church
Posted: August 4, 2014 Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: National Geographic, Red Bridge Methodist Church, skin gun Leave a commentThe folks at Red Bridge Methodist Church in Kansas City can really make you feel welcome! Though five years or so had passed since my last visit with this group, it seemed like only yesterday…Thankfully, all the familiar faces gave me a warm welcome. Questions included asking about progress regarding individual-specific diseases & how to tell the difference between a fraudulent clinic/treatment and a respectable clinic/treatment (yay for the FDA & who they recognize as valid). As with most of my presentations, this group was fascinated by the progress, on so many ‘fronts’ – especially learning about the “Skin Gun” [http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/explorer/videos/the-skin-gun]. Great to get excited about research! Thanks, June!
